30/08/10 I am still looking for a FOREST BRED NF pony to buy owing to a sale falling through. I am particularly looking for a genuine 13.2 – 14.2 Forest bred New Forest wanted for a large livestock farm [pigs, sheep, cattle] with herds of wild deer and a LOT of pheasants. Age 6 – 12yrs. Must be used to livestock, traffic inc farm machinery and people [ramblers and cyclists]. For adult rider [5’6 ½” 10 stone] who will be riding out alone across up to 1200 acres grass through the herds and flocks, pony will also be used to move sheep & cattle. Non-spooky, sane, sensible good steering and brakes and with a turn of speed when necessary. Lovely long term farm home [references available] for the right pony. Pony will live as only pony with 2 cows and few sheep in paddock for company so needs to be able to cope with this. Trial period preferred after vetting because of the particular job for this pony but this will not be a deal breaker.
