Breeding - no one knows! Shetland X New Forest X Welsh??! Micky is a much loved family character. He can be ridden off and on the lead rein, is excellent being led from a bike, happy to have children climb on and off, ride backwards, stand on him, etc. Jumping isn't great (he doesn't stop but just jumps a bit big for very little children) but fine for trot poles and cross poles upto 1 foot for beginners, bigger fences fine for better riders. Happy with coloured poles or XC. He is happy to be ridden with an open umbrella and to jump with it up! He will ride around the kids bouncing and screeching on the trampoline, having ping-pong balls fly around him! He is very relaxed in harness and absolutely suitable for beginner drivers and someone who wants to be able to leave him in the field for 6 months and haul him out, throw the tack on and have some fun on the forest, through water etc. Also he's not a plod to drive - he'll canter along on the grass, is nippy for those who are more experienced for cones trials. He is happy driven in company and with other riding horses around him. Micky often does the 1hr trip to school commute on Monday mornings. He has done Pony Club, shows, gymkana's with previous owners. He is happy doing trot poles and the smallest of fences for nervous riders. I think someone jumped him with grass-reins on for a while as he has a jerky shape over bigger fences. Micky is 100% in heavy traffic, shoe, trailer etc. A reliable, lovely pony to have for small children who want to ride a bit but who the whole family can use for enjoying with the driving. If you don't drive now but would love to learn, THIS IS THE PONY!! He would also suit driving for a less-abled person. Lots of tears when we sell him! £1750 incl' saddle and assorted tack. Think shire horse on mini legs and this is what she is - pony size shafts would not work! I do not need anything fancy but useable and able to seat our small family for trips round the forest and up the pub etc. Even a flat bed cart would be ideal as we can fit detatachable seats for leisure driving and use it as a work vehicle too, but anything considered aslong as it is useable.
