Ideally nothing over 15.2hh. I'm 5"5 and weigh approx 10.5 stone. I have ridden since I was a child (now 32!) but have had approximately 2 years off riding due to the sale of my horse and pony and also the very sad loss of the pony I was exercising. I have owned several ponies/horses prior to this but now other commitments mean it is not feasible to purchase another one just yet. I consider myself to be an intermediate rider (once back in the swing of things). Conscious I haven't done anything for 2 years but please don't let that put you off. I'd just ask anyone not to judge me too much on my first few riding performances. Was a member of the South Durham hunt as a child and in adulthood have hunted with the New Forest Hounds. Am a big fan of sponsored rides, particularly the Rockbourne Ride. I also appreciate flatwork and schooling is an essential part of any horses (and rider's) experience. Am happy to consider any type of horse or pony and am totally flexible in what you would like me to do with them (happy hacking to schooling to light competition). I would be interested in paying for my own lessons if your circumstances permit that. I live in Poole but also work in Salisbury so locations can be flexible given the right arrangement. I know the Burley/Bransgore and surrounding areas of the Forest very well as I was based here with my last horse and pony. I am available weekends and some evenings/early mornings. We are two reliable young ladies who both love riding and have alot of experience after riding for years and working at stables aswell as owning/loaning horses, but unfortunately have never had 2 horses within a close enough distance to go riding together. Would love to find someone who needs 2 of their horses or ponies exercised so that we can either hack out or school together. Or even if you just have one horse that needs schooling that we can take turns to ride? This can be a short or long term commitment, depending on your choice, although long term would be nice as then we can really bond with the horse/s. Please no problem or unpredictable horses. We are experienced riders but we are looking for a very safe ride as we have lost our confidence too many times before and now just want to relax and enjoy riding together.Would love to do schooling/hacking/jumping, either all or one or the other is fine. I work in London so only get to ride on the weekends. I'm therefore looking for a lightweight adult (<10 stone) or mature teenager (no younger than 16 please) to ride him 2-4 times during the week. Weekends may be negotiable. We compete regularly in unaffiliated dressage, showjumping and a little BSJA. He is fantastic to hack in company and will hack alone with a confident rider on board. He is not a novice ride, so you would ideally have had experience owning your own horse or sharing/loaning previously. He has fantastic stable manners and is a real gent, as well as a genuine schoolmaster. The yard he is on has excellent off road hacking (never need to touch a road if you don't want!) and an indoor school for those rainy days. There is also a full set of show jumps you can use and sometimes we set these up in a separate paddock. There are people there to hack out with if you want but it is also quiet and not hectic as it's basically a family farm with just a handful of liveries. I would require a small contribution (approx 20 per week) towards his livery costs and shoes but, as he is on full livery, no stable duties would be required (unless you want to muck out!!) Im looking for something that is 14.0hh upwards but negotiable which is just something to excercise and enjoy. Would be nice show/ hunt or xc. Willing to help with jobs in return.
