Black-jack is a wonderful liver chestnut rising 3 year old trotter cross colt. He has been broken to drive, and is also broken to ride. She has competed in all Pony Club activities, including rallies, Junior and Intermediate camps and numerous team competitions. She is currently on the Mini eventing team, Novice dressage and showjumpings teams. Off to the Mini and Novice champs over the next two weeks. Regularly competes unafilliated jumping and has numerous wins ! She has beautiful paces and scores consistently high 70's in dressage and has a scopey jump. Extremely careful, very rarely takes a pole. She is known as the 'jump off queen'
She has jumped at Hickstead twice and just returned from a 4 day stay away show in Wales where she was 3rd in a class of 94! She is currently competing at 3ft but will happily jump the smaller tracks.
She is happy to be ridden by a young novice but will up her game for the more experienced rider. She is good to load, extremely mannerly on the ground, good to clip, hacks alone, in company, open spaces etc etc etc....to top it all, she really is rather beautifull.
I could go on and on about how wonderful this pony is but would rather discuss with you if you are interested. She really is a fantastic pony and is dearly loved by all the family and all who know her. I bought SOCKs 3 months ago thinking I had the time and experience to bring him on even though I hadn't ridden in 20 years and had never even owned my own horse!

It comes as no shock that I now have to admit defeat and try to find a new home for this kind boy.

He is a very friendly, cheeky chap and is a perfect gentleman sharing a field with my Shetland mare. He comes to me when I call him and is safe and easy to tack up and ride.He adores to be groomed and fussed by my three and five year old.

My problem is that I am too scared to ride him out. He has spooked at things and is forward going and it just frightens me.He is absolutely sound in heavy traffic though. He also dislikes the farrier but I was warned by his previous owners that he disliked men in chaps.

Socks is absolutely wasted on me because I lack the knowledge to know what to do with him. I have been told that he has alot of potential and could make someone a lovely pony.

I really do hate to sell my boy because I genuinely thought we would grow old together. But I owe it to him to give him more of a chance of life.

I need him to go to an experienced home and to someone who would love him. I'd hate to think he would be moved on again. Kind home is so much more important to me than price.

He is 110% safe on and off the lead rein, and has been ridden over the years by all ages and abilities and has always looked after his ridders, seeing three sisters through the levels from learing to ride to pony club and beyond.

He hacks alone and in company and is 100% in traffice, always rideen in a snaffle and never strong, silly or spooky.

He has no health issues, never had laminitis or sweetitch, has lived out all year round for past ten years but is more than happy to be in a stable, lives happily with mares and geldings and is more than happy to be left on his own in the field, good to box, catch and shoe. He is quiet and easy to handle, and loves fuss and attention.

I really cant explain just how great this little pony is, he has been in the past home for ten years and is only sadly for sale as all three sisters have now grown up and very much outgrown him.

Bred from champion bloodlines - sire Peveril Peterborough, Dam Fijal Prelude.

This kind hearted, fun pony who would like a wonderful new 5 star home.
In the past he has been professionally schooled by a dressage trainer and been successfully shown at county level. He has a snaffle mouth, demonstrates three good paces, engaging correctly with great presence,has a bold, scopey jump and perfect brakes. At present this brilliant pony has a varied lifestyle and particularly enjoys hacking.
He is good doer who can live either in or out without any concerns.
Although he has a fantastic temperament and manners he is not a true novice ride as can be quirky depending upon the disposition of the rider and needs someone who is confident and assured but kind to help him realise his potential.
Dentistry and hoof care are up to date, and he behaves well when with the vet and farrier. He suffers very mildly from sweet itch, which is successfully managed with a combination of diet and rugs (the rugs will be provided).

Due to a past travelling accident with previous owner, he has had a knock of confidence, leaving him reluctant to travel alone. He is more relaxed when travelling in company, and in lorries only.

This is a very difficult sale of a much loved pony and family member. He is being sold through no fault of his own.

15.2hh bright bay gelding. 15yo. Complete racing history known and has been at same home since he retired from racing at the age of 7. Successfully retrained and participated in many spheres. Snaffle mouth, beautiful floating paces and big jump. In the past he has done many Pony Club activities (including camp), dressage, show jumping, XC, hunting, pleasure rides etc. He has been very laid back when hacked out in company but can sometimes become spooked when hacked out alone. Prefers to live out all year round.

Due to university commitments he has been out of regular work for the past 18 months and almost totally untouched for the last 6 months (however he is now shod and up to date with all vaccinations). I have attempted to bring him back into work recently but he has become very challenging to handle (particularly to groom and tack up) and I am gradually losing my confidence to handle him by myself. As I do not always have anyone to help me, or the required time to dedicate to him, this is proving a real problem and he is realising that he can get away with his bad behaviour. He had his teeth, back and tack checked before he was turned away and no problems were identified.

I really would not be trying to find a new home for him if it was not completely necessary as he has been a great horse to own and ride over the years. I currently simply do not have the time to work on him and therefore his talents are going to waste before my eyes. What he really needs is regular handling and some re-schooling with someone who has the experience (preferably of ex-racehorse and/or challenging horses) and confidence to overcome his handling problems and bring him back into work. Unfortunately he is not able to be seen ridden due to tacking up issues.
